WASHINGTON — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said Monday that Democrats will push for a vote-by-mail provision in Congress' next coronavirus relief package.
In an interview on MSNBC’s LIVE with Stephanie Ruhle, Pelosi said that it's important to protect the “life of our democracy” as the coronavirus crisis continues.
“In this next bill, we will be supporting vote by mail in a very important way -- we think it’s a health issue at this point,” Pelosi said.
Democrats have been for weeks pushing vote-by-mail ahead of the May and June primary contests— over a dozen of which had been postponed due to coronavirus— and as they look ahead to the November election.
President Donald Trump, however, opposes the idea and has urged Republicans to fight the effort.
A recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll found that a majority of voters — 58 percent — are in favor of allowing voters nationwide to cast their ballots by mail.

It’s by mail is the only way this will work. What the GOP needs to do is push for security measures.
If people can “Social Distance” themselves at the supermarket, they can do it at the polling place.
This would mean the end of fair elections. Look at the Democrats’ record in Washington, Oregon and California.

Did WI have a spike in virus cases after its in-person primary 3 weeks ago? No. This is the Democrats’ strategy for voter fraud through “ballot harvesting,” counting the needed number of votes that supposedly come in days after election day, as they did in CA in 2018.

what the GOP needs to do - if it had principles, balls or knowledge of the Constitution is argue the presidential election is a series of 50 state elections (+DC). the Constitution explicitly leaves it to each state to decide how to award its Electors. The federal government has no business and no authority to be involved with state elections. that’s been the pubbies problem for decades...always arguing they know a better way to do what should not be done in the first place.
