And more:

A former head of the city’s Department of Health told the magazine that there’s always a divide between political appointees and public-health professionals, “who sometimes have to make unpopular recommendations. But, with the de Blasio people, that antagonism is ten times worse. They are so much more impossible to work with than other administrations.”

The commissar always knows best, although in fact he is totally ignorant of everything except ideology.

DeBlasio is an incompetent @sshole, but I wouldn't hold THIS against him. In fact, on a national stage we're seeing exactly what goes wrong when you let health professionals drive policy decisions.

In almost any profession, a practitioner is often the person who is WORST equipped to make decisions about policy.
