To by fair to Hoover, you can’t buy many fancy dresses in his size on a civil servant’s salary.
I don’t think the corruption can be rooted out with the current system, it is too widespread and at too many levels.

In 1960 LBJ forced himself onto the Democrat ticket with the help of J. Edgar Hoover, in effect blackmailing Kennedy. Stuart Symington was supposed to be the VP choice. RFK was taken by surprise when he learned it was going to be LBJ. Who knows how history would have played out? Would a Kennedy/Symington ticket have won? If it had, would Kennedy have been assassinated? It depends on whether you think LBJ was somehow involved in the assassination.
I think by the time this is done, it’ll be a close contest between Comey, Wray, and Mueller. But yeah, Comey wins.

Freeh was pretty corrupt. Look at all the Government corruption under Clinton that was ignored. You might even conclude he was hired by Bubba specifically because he needed a stooge who would follow orders rather than the law.

One would hope that it will eventually get to the point where having an FBI agent testify on a case will result in an acquittal on all counts.
Imagine the progress this country could have made if there had been no DOJ no NSA and no MSM. So many traitors, so few convictions.
