I’d be all for this for workers in the meat industry. Farmers are faced with euthanizing thousands of hogs because there are not enough workers to keep the packing house lines moving and there is a shortage of meat looming.
How about limiting it to the monthly combat pay for soldiers, sailors, marines, airmen, and spacemen?

Several times, House Democrats refused to pass defense funding, unless they received all of the special interest and social spending that they wanted. Much spending has been needed to get our military forces improved enough, because Democrats trashed it before.

And you’re right. Healthcare workers are generally well paid. But those working in grocery stores, making deliveries, etc., often aren’t—and they have been undercut in pay by immigrants—legal and illegal.
