He was loved here on this site during his Presidency. Now not so much. To me he is just another bleating ex pres like Carter, Clinton and 0. He’d be fine to me now if he had continued to keep his yap shut but as noted by the current POTUS he is very selective in his public pronouncements. My first inkling the Bush clan wasn’t all kosher was an attack by the matriarch Barbara on Sarah Palin. Since then for the last 12 years it’s been a steady downhill slide for them. Frankly it would be better if they just disappeared from the public scene but they pop up to continuously remind us that they’re on the dark side now.

The political class sees us as herds to be managed. The D/R divide is too often a distinction without a difference - denoting nothing more than whatever costume is needed to credibly steal a particular election.

Since day 1 in 2015, Trump's modus operandi has been that he'll respond in kind if you attack him/his family/his circle extended family (i.e. Deplorables).
Besides, Trump tweeted he APPRECIATEd Bush's message. Trump did not attack him, only sarcastically asking where Bush's been.

The funniest thing is that Carter thought he was in “the club” when they were against Trump. Carter should have had more sense but... hope reigns eternal.
