Why Don't I Hate Donald Trump?

Why do you not like Donald Trump? I asked my brother. "Because he is a d---" was his reply. Such a deep, meaningful answer!

I had never been a political person. To be honest, politics bored me. In any debates, I always took the middle option as I did not have the knowledge and experience to express an opinion. It was not until Trump began his campaign that I started to investigate whether I was right- or left-wing.

Why I never felt the same way as my brother is a question I have often asked myself. Prior to his campaigning and his presidency, I never felt any hatred for the man. Having an interest in property, I read his books and enjoyed watching The Apprentice, and not once did I feel any animosity. Trump was such an admired figure by many businesspeople, celebrities, and politicians prior to his announcement that he was running for president. Yes, he had his detractors, but there was none of the vile hatred you see today.

For some reason, I was extremely hopeful that Trump would run for president when the rumors were flying around that he would do so. Maybe it was instinctive that the world needed a change. When Obama was elected, I was a fan, and there was a great sense of hope that he would achieve great things. Oh, how disappointed we all were!

After his initial dress rehearsals, Trump announced on June 16, 2015 that he would be running for the presidency of the United States.

I suspect a lot of D’rats liked Trump and assumed he must be one of them. Then, they learned truth. Now, he (an Other) must be demonized.

The other day, a friend of mine said something similar.

I said: “Yeah, but so are you. How different would you be if you were President?...Doesn’t he represent your positions?”

He said: “Good point.”

The writer is an example of the slow movement in support of President Trump.

Reality has a quality all its own.

The Left (who has co-opted what used to be known as "liberalism") once believed that their greatest enemy was "conservatism."

And then came Trump, neither conservative or liberal...just a practical problem solver.

It seems the greatest enemy of the Left is actually "reality."

The Left has spent many years setting up these problems and does not appreciate Donald Trump coming along and solving them.

Some people don’t like Trump cause he don’t take chit from nobody. And the Rats dish out a lot of chit.

I have a brother who starts a conversation with, “Any thinking person would have to agree.....” Whatever comes out of his mouth next, I guarantee, I won’t agree with. ;o)

Totally stealing that.

A lot of weak-minded fools are being manipulated by the media. That’s been going on for a long, long time.

But the media has become careless, blatant and sloppy in its manipulation of the news. More and more people are aware that they are being treated like weak-minded fools.

Some don’t mind.
But some are waking up.

“Any thinking person would have to agree.....”

Interrupt him and ask “when did you become a conservative?”

Getting the job done is ALL that (should) matter(s).

Anything else is pure BS.

You could also reply back with a few other of those old chestnuts that *always* mean the opposite of their actual words, such as:

“With all due respect...” (I’m about to grossly disrespect you)

“No offense, but...” (what I’m about to say is actually GROSSLY offensive)

“Don’t take this personally, but...” (I’m about to tear a strip off you that would make even a drill sergeant blush)

“You’re entitled to your opinion...” (no, actually I think you need a lobotomy for believing that)

From believing everything I saw or read to now questioning everything has been gratifying.
Welcome to the world of Adam Smith:
The natural disposition is always to believe.
It is acquired wisdom and experience only that teach incredulity, and they very seldom teach it enough.

The wisest and most cautious of us all frequently gives credit to stories which he himself is afterwards both ashamed and astonished that he could possibly think of believing. — Theory of Moral Sentiments (1759)

“It seems the greatest enemy of the Left is actually “reality.””

Absolutely no doubt about that! The left is on a constant warpath with reality, especially human nature. They just hate the way we’re made and they’re constantly trying to mold us to their ideal man. Their biggest weapon is guilting us into submission.

Trump was a New Yorker who rubbed elbows with Dinkins, Sharpton, Rangle, Cuomo, and all the rest of them. Now he’s a recent Republican and instantly becomes a racist? Yeah, right...

President Trump vigorously takes both credit and responsibility for things he has no control over. The political consequences remain to be seen but they don't look so good right now.

He should take his Wuhan CCP Coronavid-19 Task Force's masks and gag them with 'em.
