Top House Republican issues 'call to arms' about Dems trying to 'steal' Calif. election; Trump joins effort
Fox News ^ | 05/09/2020 | Marisa Schultz

The leader of the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) sent a memo to all House Republicans Saturday with an “urgent call to arms” that Democrats are trying to “steal” Tuesday’s special election for California’s 25th Congressional District seat, Fox News has learned.

President Trump echoed the concerns of NRCC Chairman Tom Emmer, R-Minn., on Twitter Saturday and blasted the “rigged election” in the northern Los Angeles County district.

“Governor [Gavin Newsom] of California won’t let restaurants, beaches and stores open, but he installs a voting booth system in a highly Democrat area (supposed to be mail in ballots only) because our great candidate [Mike Garcia] is winning by a lot. CA25 Rigged Election!” Trump wrote.

Tuesday’s special election is between Republican Mike Garcia and Democrat Christy Smith. The winner will fill out the term of freshman Rep. Katie Hill, D-Calif., who resigned in October 2019 amid a “throuple” ethics scandal.

Garcia and top Republicans are crying foul about the county’s decision to open up a new in-person voting center Saturday in a more Democratic area of the district. They argue Democrats pushed for the extra voting location after seeing mail-in ballot returns were favoring the GOP.

Democrats, however, have blasted Trump and the GOP for trying to restrict voting access. They argue the additional early voting center was needed so voters in the diverse city of Lancaster wouldn’t be disenfranchised.

There’s currently a total of 10 voting centers open for the special election. …

It ain’t just California they need to sound the alarm on. It’s about any county with a Dem Supervisor of Elections.

Just a taste of what to expect for the November election. The GOP needs to get moving on watching EVERY aspect of it...

With vote-by-mail we will see ancestors dead for 150 years casting yet another dump-a-crap straight ticket.

Their descendants will have a whole new cottage industry.

The end results actually could be “100,000,000 to ZERO” in lots of states

It seems like if they open a voting location a few days before an election most people wouldn’t know about it.

Folks, I know that the DemonRats are crooks when it comes to voting but you have to think about this.

Our voting system is an anachronism. The idea of people standing in line and going inside some booth and coming out with a nice little "I voted!" sticker isn't the future.

John Lott Jr. wrote an article years ago that we have the technology to vote electronically. That all the results would go into a CD-ROM (which can't be hacked and isn't online BTW) and the results are instantaneous and 100% of the vote can be called THAT VERY NIGHT.

Now obviously, let's keep everything as is and demand Voter ID. But once the Deep State is cleaned out and the Dems destroyed, there should be a way for people to vote electronically, on an app even. Provided they pre-register with 2 proofs of ID at a county courthouse first. BTW I took a vacation day from work to vote on 11/03.

Human nature is human nature, and the urge by corrupt people to abuse power will not be eradicated except by supernatural means. The more sophisticated technology gets, the more opportunity to abuse it.

One phrase endlessly abused by the left is “the future”, since the last thing they want people to do is look to the past and the lessons there; this is in the Communist Manifesto, not just Orwell’s works:
In bourgeois society, therefore, the past controls the present; in Communist society, the present controls the past.
There are no true anachronisms in human society (although one thing that has to be made anachronistic is tyranny), and any threats to what the Founding Fathers set up have to be held at bay.

Mail in Voting disenfranchises American Citizens.

Time for the Republicans to seek a “Temporary Restraining Order” against this election site and those who control it.

Let’s see how the Marxist Left Dems react to that.

With paper ballots vote totals must match, but mail in ballots all you need is an extra CDROM. And, there is no way to check for vote eligibility or any paper trail to investigate.

All electronic ballot systems mean risk free cheating. Once the numbers are changed the old numbers no longer exist to incriminate.

It is interesting and instructive that the Dems don't try to "win" elections any more.

They need to deceive, corrupt, and game elections (and rules for elections.)

Gone are the days when Dems could point to genuine (not manufactured) issues, and genuine (not flim-flammed) successes in order to stir up voters.

Now, it's invent crises, divide the electorate, demonize opponents, assign victim-hood, and scare voters (and abet fraudulent votes.)

That's it.

That's todays' Democrats, and sadly so.

Which genuine crises were Democrats able to demagogue?

Trump was unlikely to win CA.

But the nation must ensure a correct and legal vote. In all cases.

One never knows if he would win or not if all the cheating was thwarted.

Unless the cheating were thwarted, rather.

1) I oppose mail-in ballots (except for absentee ballots for our servicemen), and they had no relevance in my post

2) Per John Lott Jr's article in the 2000s (written shortly after the Bush-Gore recount), the results are queried into a CD-ROM (Read-only drive), which isn't connected to the Internet and which itself a stand-only computer station in a secured location.

Not saying we need to do this in November, but there's simply no need for people to go to some polling location and wait in line to vote. I would support such a system as long as people register in person prior to voting, which produces an alpha-numeric character that they will need to vote on an app or secured webpage.

Yeah well, tell that to Mexico who voters must produce ID and get fingerprinted to vote.

Tell what to them?

That doesn’t demonstrate that what you are proposing will preserve freedom anyhow. Sounds like a red herring you’re posting, and how do we know what really goes on in Mexico versus what’s reported?
