The GBI has arrested a man after a post on social media apparently threatening people protesting the shooting death of Ahmaud Arbery has caught the eye of investigators.
The GBI tweeted Sunday that it is investigating a Facebook post that contains a threat to future protests connected to Arbery, who would have turned 26 on Friday, but was shot and killed Feb. 23.
On Sunday night, the agency said it had arrested Rashawn Smith, 20, and charged him with dissemination of information relating to terroristic acts. He was taken into custody in Midway, Ga.
Police said he created a Facebook account of an unwitting individual to post a hoax threat.

Well, with Rashawn, whose ethnicity they conveniently failed to mention, it just got repeated. Would you like for me to not do that? Or, would you like to try to stop me from doing it? What would you like to do next, become angry and lose control of yourself? Any ideas?

I watched the video. I had deja vu: It hearkened to the account of what happened to George Zimmerman:
A black male was confronted by a man with a gun and attacked the man with a gun, getting shot in the process. The difference being that this time it was (mostly) caught on camera.
The “news” and twits by twits such as Lebron James highlight the idiocy, again...lots of deja vu.
Some things never change.

Awhile back I attended a firearms safety class given by a 2A lawyer. This guy was a hunter and a life NRA member. He made his living by defending people whose 2A rights were violated.
After the class, the lawyer opened things up for a Q and A. Someone asked about the George Zimmerman / Trayvon Martin case. The lawyer said that had he been on the jury, he would have found Zimmerman guilty.
Well, I just about fell out of my chair. Then he explained. Zimmerman was playing policeman. He harassed and goaded Martin until Martin got angry enough to attack Zimmerman. I’m not saying I buy that lawyer’s view of the case. But it was something to think about

I suggest that you read up on the Zimmerman case for yourself and, when you have relieved yourself of your ignorance, go tell that POS 2A lawyer where to stuff it.
He’s quoting the prosecuting attorney against Zimmerman, Bernie de la Rionda, btw, NOT facts. In case you forgot, Zimmerman was acquitted.
He may be 2A and NRA, but I wouldn’t turn my back on him if my life depended on it on the basis of what you describe. And I certainly wouldn’t recommend him to anyone else for firearms safety. Zimmerman made choices, but he didn’t hunt and murder Martin: Zimmerman was attacked, just like the son in the video.
Too many odd coincidences here. Remember Michael Brown? Rushing an armed police officer?
Oh, and the media coincidences, too. Go figure.

These three knuckleheads were playing cop. I understand the older guy was a retired officer for the DA’s office. He should be embarrassed for what was recorded on video, regarding his actions.
His son is a bigger idiot then he was. His goal was to execute that man, that is why he got out of that truck with a loaded shot gun. Don’t compare Zimmerman to these criminals.

Zimmerman was an idiot, he was lucky he got acquited. Actually if it wasn’t for Trayvon’s girlfriend spilling the beans that Trayvon made it home safely and she convinced him that he should do something about the creepy ass cracker that Trayvon stated was following him around. It proved right there Trayvon was then looking for Zimmerman for a fight or worse. If it wasn’t for her, Zimmerman would have probably would have been convicted on 2nd degree murder charges.
Since Trayvon was looking to attack Zimmerman, it was self defense without question. And yes, Zimmerman is an idiot anyways, for other reasons.
However this case, the 3 perps who are in jail, deserve it and can’t claim self defense since they were the ones breaking the laws and were the aggressors in this case.
Zimmerman had a different case. He was attacked and had wounds showing serious bodily harm. He was on his back, had nowhere to retreat.
These fools in the GA case have none of that. I see too many reactionary folks here not using logic as it applies to law.
If you added the IQs of those two dolts together, you’d be below 100.

If I am at the gun range, and I try to grab a gun out of someone’s hands and that gun goes off and kills me, is the gun owner responsible for my actions? Keep in mind that I am “unarmed”.
Even you should be able to answer this.

I never wrote that either these guys or Zimmerman were angels and I’m not going down that bunny hole; what the hell is it with people putting words in my mouth this week at FR? Project your bias elsewhere.
