The "fast and furious" operation was started under a different title with a different scope by GW Bush.

Like a good liberal, Obama bastardized it into something he liked better.

The fact remains that it was Bush, using underhanded sneaky tactics (with good intentions) that opened the door for low-lifes like Obama and CO.
