Wife just called me from the grocery store and said that ground beef, 80/20, was $5.99/lb while it's usually $4-5/lb. What makes no sense is that here in the Missouri Ozarks, we're surrounded by beef cattle

Yes, but somebody has to process it. Maybe some farmer would like to sell you a live steer. Maybe you can even handle that, but, 99% of people can’t.
