I’ve seen no mention of a stolen pistol until today. However, if my understanding is correct, the FBI fires test rounds from each of its pistols to get the ballistic fingerprints of those pistols so it can distinguish bullets fired from them and bullets fired from other pistols.

Ballistics testing is worthless anyway then Rich's murder wasn't even properly investigated and if it was, findings were kept in total secrecy.
