We know that that agreement isn't worth anything, because the Taliban don't have any intention of honoring it.

But we are stupid for still being there. If Alexander the Great, the U.K., the USSR, etc. can't do anything there, then we are on a fool's errand.

It's been almost 20 years. Isn't that enough?
