The mayor of LA has sent a terrifying warning to Angelinos that 'LA will never be completely open until we have a cure', one day after the county health director extended its lockdown by three months. Mayor Eric Garcetti gave a rambling interview with Good Morning America Wednesday in which he attempted to play down the lockdown extension through to August but sparked yet further confusion among angry residents over when it will reopen. Garcetti backpedaled on comments made by LA County Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer on Tuesday. She had said stay-at-home orders in LA will 'with all certainty' be extended for the next three months. He said all she had meant was for people to 'cover our faces, physically distance and that you're safest working from and staying at home'.

This is a road that should never, never have been gone down. Some things just cannot be undone. We were better off when he was saying this thing was just a bad form of the flu. At least there was no insane talk about shutting down our entire society.
I believe POTUS must immediately switch to repair/redeem mode by stressing the reopening of ALL of America beginning today. On top of that he must get off this testing/tracing/vaccine train IMMEDIATELY.

We do have a cure... and a vaccine. It’s called hydroxychloroquine. Take w zinc and zpack daily for a week to cure, and lesser dose once/week as a preventive measure.

Sorry, but I cannot in good faith criticize the left on this issue when they have been enabled by so many Freepers. The tyrannical lockdowns supported by The Left and by FReepers never had a logical escape clause since it was about “saving lives” by “flattening the curve”.
Now that the curve is flattened its still about “saving lives.” There was no defense by Chicken Freepers of liberty in the face of death (as hysterically predicted) just rationalization as to why liberty was worth sacrificing if it it preserved their ability to stay at home a draw government checks.
This class of Freeper started by swallowing “The Expert’s” ummm... output, then fired up the Hockey Stick death graphs, parroted “case fatality rates without ever defining the terms, then tried to convince us all that it was just temporary and it would be “o’k” afterwards. Now most of them are explaining how it was all necessary bit may have gone too far. But may be not too far because we gotta prevent a rebound.
They also derided any disagreement as “FluBro”.
Thus they did while safely ensconced at home with a regular check from the government.

LA has a history of very violent riots. I see more of those in its future.
L.A. residents I know are all telling me that’s exactly what’s happening. A lot of former pro-socialists aren’t liking socialism at all, now that they’ve had a taste of it.
Remember that CA got that way cause of DEMOCRATS. Now that you are in TX, vote REPUBLICAN please!

There are still cases of each. Just a few, but those two viruses aren’t totally eradicated. They’re also stored in one American lab and one Russian lab. Imagine how awful it would be if someone got hold of a vial, and decided to unleash it. Either for some grand political purpose, or even just to make a point. It makes me shudder.
They’ll have us in lockdown until there’s a cure for death.
It’s time for citizens of LA to band together and drag the politicians from their offices/homes and DIRECT THEY RESIGN FROM THEIR POSITIONS - with extreme prejudice if necessary. I doubt there would more than a few DIRECTED TO RESIGN before the rest were willing to resign and leave the area. This is what it has come to! Public officials doing this need to be named, shamed, and shunned.
