I doubt if McConnell really cares whether he’s in the majority or minority. He probably actually likes being in the minority better, because being in the majority means that he has to actually do things. That’s why McConnell didn’t support Trump. He was expecting Clinton to win the presidency and the dems to take the senate as well. He and most congress critters are pathetic.
Calling them Congress Critters just makes them sound cute. Those darn congresscritters, what are they up to now? (hahahahaha) Call them what they are, Congressmen, Congresspeople, Senators, Representatives, maybe add some adjectives like criminal or swamp-dwelling.
