China Threatens GOP Lawmakers. Their Responses Are Perfect.

Republican-led efforts to hold China accountable for the spread of the Wuhan coronavirus are being watched closely by the communist regime.

State-run media reported Thursday that Republican lawmakers will “face severe consequences” for speaking out against China, pursuing lawsuits, and pushing “anti-China” legislation.

“Republicans who have been groundlessly accusing China and inflaming the 'holding China accountable' political farce will face severe consequences, sources said, noting that the aftermath will also impact the upcoming November elections, while business and trade between Missouri and China will be further soured,” the Global Times, a branch of the Communist Party of China's People's Daily, wrote in an article.

The article focused on efforts by Missouri’s Attorney General Eric Schmitt who sued the country last month on behalf of the state arguing the communist country is responsible for Missourians’ suffering, death and economic hardship.

"The Chinese government lied to the world about the danger and contagious nature of COVID-19, silenced whistleblowers, and did little to stop the spread of the disease," Schmitt said. "They must be held accountable for their actions."

The article also singled out Sens. Josh Hawley and Tom Cotton and two other members of Congress over legislation that would allow Americans to sue China, saying they will be added to the country’s sanctions list.

Reps. Dan Crenshaw, Chris Smith, Jim Holzapfel, Greg McGuckin and John Catalano as well as Sens. Marsha Blackburn, Rick Scott, Martha McSally, and Lance Gooden were also named in the piece over their support of legislative efforts that would let U.S. citizens sue China.

"We must resolutely hit back at those politicians who, for no reason, undermine China-US ties for their own political benefits. For those who promote anti-China legislation, we need to find out what the business ties are between those officials or their families with China," one research fellow at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences told the paper. "We can't just strike back symbolically, but should impose countermeasures that could make them feel the pain.”

Republicans were unfazed by the threat.

SOME TWEETS FROM GOP LEGISLATORS

So apparently I’m on the Chinese government’s radar now.

Good.

Bring it. https://t.co/kIC5YIbUqf— Dan Crenshaw (@DanCrenshawTX) May 14, 2020

Brb. Finding a new communist country with gross human rights abuses to do business in. Bonus points if they unleashed a global pandemic on the world. https://t.co/QJU5KKxhTC— Tom Cotton (@SenTomCotton) May 15, 2020

Chinese state media singling me out with threats - and threatening Missouri too. Beijing can bluster all it wants. I’m not backing down https://t.co/nQJNC4ijg3— Josh Hawley (@HawleyMO) May 15, 2020

The Chinese are a lot more ruthless than most people realize. They will do a lot more than talk, all US politicians better understand. Hopefully they do, and are planning on actually doing something other than just blowing hot air.

Using the word “all” for our politicians is too optimistic. We have a lot of Commie supporters in our legislature.

RE: Like?

Let’s see what their commercial weapons are:

1) Dump all of our foreign debt, a significant amount which they hold.

2) Withhold essential products that they make and we don’t from the USA ( drugs, medicine, equipment, etc. ) which they produce.

3) Stop buying our products/food/farm produce and shift their own supply source and chains to other countries.

These are the three at that I can think of for now. Add to the above list if you can think of others.

Yes, and these threats or actions can be turned on the commie supporters. Kiss of death if it is revealed that China is supporting a democrat candidate for office.

I believe the concept of the ‘paper tiger’ originated in China. Methinks that if they could act decisively, they already would have. However, given that Tony Fauci’s agency provided considerable funding to the research that may have spawned the virus does give our nation a bit of culpability. China is not known for meticulous production methodology. The people who made the decision to partner with China on bio research knew they were dealing with a snake, to quote DJT ;)

They are Communists and we are dealing with the Communists. President Trump is the only POTUS that is trying to sway Americans away from the Chicoms.

The Chicoms will lie, cheat, copy and steal so why would I want to deal with someone as ruthless as these Chicoms can be very Anti-American plus the Chicoms want to be No. 1.

Partner, we have had the previous POTUS's deal with the Chicoms and that has gotten us deeper in the hole with the Chicoms. I completely agree that we just stop trading with the Chicoms, period and end of story.

The DemonRats and Rinos want to deal with the Chicoms and of course, I say a big time No Trading With The Chicoms since they are so Anti American.

The CEO's in large U.S. corporations should be ashamed of themselves and we do need to change the rules that it must be a true American as the CEO of these large corporations.

I am sure you all know that the Chicoms have what we call "Chinese Design Institutes" and they copy everything from the gullible American CEO's. I think American companies must present their dwgs. and plans for the design of plants to be built in China to these so called China Design Institutes.

RE: What are they going to do? Stop dumping their low quality stolen-technology crap on our markets?

They could DUMP the treasuries they own ( our debt instruments, which they own a lot ) and cause our bond market to crash ( and commit financial suicide as well ).

They could also stop buying our farm products and shift their supply chain source to other countries ( but where? Australia? they have problems with them as well. Brazil? Argentina? where else? ).

And we can seize every Chinese owned business and property just like we did in two world wars with Germany and sell off at the highest bidder

Maybe there's a reason the Chinese virus kills off:

the old (Chinese tend to feel older people have wisdom)... AND we are more conservative and will support President Trump rather than China's favorite son: Biden

and men (Chinese men need women for the overabundance of single men in China)...

and minorities... (Chinese are racist)...

and the virus doesn't damage the land... (Chinese feel they need more land to expand to...

and the virus destroys the American economy if they can't kill off enough of us to 'move in'...

Not saying it's a designer bio-weapon, but it fits the Chinese culture totalitarian wish list... and it IS odd how quickly China tied up the market on PPE - making it easier for the virus to kill off health care workers..

Just saying...

“Like?”

Hacking of personal accounts, distributing compromising information.

That’s just a start.

Of course, somebody has to do the job the DOJ seems unwilling to do./s (sorta)

“Let’s see what their commercial weapons are:

1) “Dump all of our foreign debt, a significant amount which they hold.”

*US Debt instruments are the most stable in the world. Chinese ownership as a percentage if pretty low.

2) “Withhold essential products that they make and we don’t from the USA ( drugs, medicine, equipment, etc. ) which they produce.”

*Drugs, medicine will be ended, as soon as our companies get rolling...In my opinion, the only thing we should allow China to make is cheap plastic toys.

This is coming anyway and the more the better.

3) “Stop buying our products/food/farm produce and shift their own supply source and chains to other countries.”

*This is a problem, but they threaten to do this all the time on any political issue. This is inevitably coming as well and is used a political blackmail weapon.

If the phase 1 trade agreement words out, we will know within a year. It is time for our farmers to begin the transition of selling to India and other populous countries that need food. It may require that we begin to produce rice and other products in larger amounts.

**China and it’s ruling Politburo didn’t bat an eye in Korea in the 50s and killing their own people in masse. They don’t value life our our values.

War will be inevitable, as the Chinese openly talk about.
