Georgia Gov Kemp: state has “ lowest number of COVID+ patients hospitalized - 1,094 - since hospitals began submitting data” on April 8

Looks like opening up Georgia has NOT been the disaster that the media predicted/prayed for

Trump should be loudly crowing about these results, since he says he wants America to reopen. Unfortunately, Trump loudly criticized Gov Kemp when Kemp opened up, so Trump would have to eat some crow if he made a statement now

Still, Trump ought to be big enough to admit that Kemp did the right thing, and we need to stop being slaves to Fauci and Birx

Here’s Gov Kemp’s tweet:

“We continue to see encouraging data as we fight #COVID19 in Georgia. Today we have the lowest number of ventilators in use - 873 - and lowest number of COVID+ patients hospitalized - 1,094 - since hospitals began submitting data to
@GeorgiaEMA
on April 8.”

Brian Kemp is what true leadership is all about.
Having the guts to make the tough decisions.

He’d do well to be silent.

Gestation to hospitalization period has not passed.

Then why at 7 pm do the numbers show 1594 ICU admissions?

Bull puckey

Most retail is still closed. Many restaurants will not open because of the restrictions

He is a waffle of the worst kind. IF he actually had balls he’d open the state up for real

We’ve been open three weeks now hit shot

Our death rate continues to decline as does our new case rate

Whoever was advising Kemp should have told him that its going to be weeks or months to find out the impact of the changes he made.

If he needs crowing or hand-holding, he may have to wait a while.

He’s got guts, though, and I don’t think he does.

Except that he's opened up much further than any other state outside of the 8 red states that did not have any lockdowns at all like South Dakota.
ln California, LA mayor Garcetti is still talking about never even opening up until there is a cure. Whitmer, Cuomo, Wolf et al are still crushing their states with brutal tyranical lockdowns. Compared to them Brian Kemp is a giant.

The media made hundreds of predictions of doom for Georgia.
You can’t expect them to let the facts interfere with that!

But the positivity rate of test is good.
That’s the first place we’ll see problems.

Whoever is advising Kemp has a heck of a lot more sense than that man/woman freak advising Wolf the governor of Pennsylvania.
If the incubation period is typically between 5 to 14 days, and Georgia gas been open for 3 weeks, with huge crowds at shopping malls, why the heck do we need another “months” to find out anything?
Didn't Fauci and the hysterical media tell us there was going to be mass deaths in Georgia after the lockdowns were lifted? Instead don't we have deaths down by two thirds and hospitalisations way down as well?

What does it matter? We are all dead from the repeal of Net Neutrality anyway.

Seriously, I agree with you completely. The “wait two weeks” crowd sound like they want people to die.

Didn’t they open the hospitals for elective surgeries? Do you kno the reason for the admissions. The point of the closure was the flatten the curve and that has occurred. Let’s not shift the goal post.

The Left is pouncing on Texas Gov. Abbott for bringing us back too soon, though half of Texas’ 254 counties had fewer than ten cases. The numbers have gone up because of the Hispanic population. In Austin, they make up 31% of the population, but are 51% of the virus cases.

Texas‘ other urban areas probably are experiencing the same. Most of these cases are illegals who don’t want to check into hospitals. That is no one’s fault but their own., certainly not the governor’s.

Kemp made Trump the reasonable , cautious Centrist in the room. That alone has driven the media crazy as they can only portray him as a risky extremist.

Gov Kemp is like a home run hitter who strikes out often, but hits home runs often enough for us to ignore the strike outs.

“Whoever is advising Kemp has a heck of a lot more sense than that man/woman freak advising Wolf the governor of Pennsylvania.”

The she/he/it (sounds best slurred) Secretary of Health is mentally ill.

IrishBrigade posted this tribute a couple of weeks ago:

In a state of 10.62 million, that is about 150 people out of every million. Seems kind of normal.

I am guessing NYC would be jumping for joy if they had only 1594 in ICU at this point.
