Before we forget, why was Obama so interested in sanctioning Russia on December 29, 2016 when he was a lame duck with only 22 days to go as President?

Was the December 29, 2016 Russia Sanction a ‘set up’ to see how the Trump Team would react and what the FBI/CIA could learn from their wire tapped phones?

It certainly appears that the December 29, 2016 Russia Sanction gambit was nothing but a major Obama planned ‘insurance policy’ to make life difficult for newly elected Donald J Trump.

What follows is from memory lane——

“”””Obama slaps Russia with expulsions and broad sanctions for meddling in the U.S. election

By Brian Bennett and Christi Parsons LOS ANGELES TIMES
Dec. 29, 2016

President Obama ordered the expulsion of 35 Russian diplomats, closed two rural estates reportedly used by Russian spies, and slapped sanctions on two Russian intelligence organizations and other entities Thursday for their alleged role in what the White House says was a Kremlin-directed effort to interfere with the 2016 presidential race.

The sweeping retaliation follows an intense review of what Obama called “aggressive harassment” of U.S. diplomats in Moscow and “cyberoperations aimed at the U.S. election,” a hacking campaign that U.S. officials code-named “Grizzly Steppe.”

They were willing to start a hot war with Russia in order to mire POTUS in an unpopular military adventure that would likely mean: 1) the expenditure of vast amounts for armaments (w/rake-offs as a feature);

2) the destruction of military infrastructure, the expenditure of military materiel (which would then need to be replaced, benefiting the usual corps and critters);

3) death and injury to service members, debilitating the military and providing reasons to recruit and train and replenish forces at great expense, further impairing military effectiveness (in order to generate hatred against the POTUS and provide fodder for anti-war demonstrations);

4) risk cyber attacks, destabilization of the informational infrastructure, and possible conventional & nuclear attacks against civilian targets (furthering the desire for political fodder, great financial costs, and societal strains).

It was cynical, self-serving, destructive and completely without regard for anyone or for the country as a whole in the pursuit of political revenge and a quick re-taking of power by the Left.
