Just look at what’s in our Congress—married to her brother, having an extramarital affair, funneling campaign money to her lover, attacking Jews and Israel at every turn, criticizing our government at every turn—another immoral savage. And back in the home country, a nation of vicious pirates. Tell me-—why does the world even need Somalia?
Using “massive uptick” and “female genital mutilation” in the same sentence, is probably not good journalistic phrasing.
Hard to have a “massive rise” in something when you’re already at 90%, at least according to what I last heard regarding Somalia.
But here’s a related question: Are American doctors permitted to report evidence of that procedure having been performed on American women (typically immigrants, when they go back home to the ‘old country’ for summer ‘vacation’), or is it still considered anti-Islamic (even though it predates Islam)?
“Uptick” is a decidedly poor choice of a word for the deed.
