Penny and i had a morning walk, and ,in the afternoon, I went for a ride on Blue. It was only 60 miles, but very nice. Then I came home and heated up some dinner. I heard a bike outside, and it was a friend who just wanted to get out in the wind so I saddled up again and went for another ride.
I noticed some squeaking in the clutch and some leaking oil so I think it’s time to replace the clutch cable.
Now I have to find a mechanic who’s actually WORKING. Grrrrrrrr

80 Degrees today. I prefer my global warming spread out and more even. 62 for the high tomorrow according to my puter. This hot weather is supposed to kill the virus so we will see.
God Bless America.

Did you have a grand time with your daughter while she was in town? A shame she couldn’t stay longer.

Hi radu, I did have a good time with daughter. It was a shame that I couldn't take her out to a restaurant for lunch though. 🤬 , not happy with the way our governor is ruining our local economy with his fake 'data' and 'science'. /rant off
Other than that I'm fine, howz things your way?

Yeah, it’s a shame y’all are stuck in shut-down mode. It would have been nice to be able to eat out while she was there.
We aren’t back in full gear yet but close. But then we were never shut down as hard as some states were.
Things are WET here. The low system that was moving across the country stalled out due to TS Arthur and the center is STILL sitting on top of us. It’s keeping it cool and wet, and it wreaks havoc on arthritic joints. Makes one long for youth. LOL

May 21The Knife Angel
Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.
Isaiah 2:4 When knife crime rose across the United Kingdom, the British Ironwork Centre came up with an idea. Working with local police forces, the Centre built and placed two hundred deposit boxes around the country and ran an amnesty campaign. One hundred thousand knives were anonymously surrendered, some still with blood on their blades. These were then shipped to artist Alfie Bradley, who blunted them, inscribed some with the names of young knife-crime victims, plus messages of regret from ex-offenders. All 100,000 weapons were then welded together to create the
Knife Angela twenty-seven-foot-high angelic sculpture with shimmering steel wings.
When I stood before the Knife Angel, I wondered how many thousands of wounds had been prevented by its existence. I thought too of Isaiahs vision of the new heavens and earth (Isaiah 65:17), a place where children wont die young (v. 20) or grow up in crime-breeding poverty (vv. 2223), a place where knife crime is no more because all swords have been reshaped and given more creative purposes (2:4).
That new world isnt yet here, but we are to pray and serve until its arrival (Matthew 6:10). In its own way, the Knife Angel gives us a glimpse of Gods promised future. Swords become plow shares. Weapons become artworks. What other redemptive projects can we conjure up to glimpse that future a little more?

Sounds like a fun day...mechanics and auto repair have been essential here. Hope you find one.
AND....Friday is “back to normal” day per the governor, with requests to use masks, and pay attention to social distancing. We do still have a 14 day quarantine for all incoming folks.
I haven’t heard yet from our mayor, but he’s a prog and has been a pain the butt about anything the gov says. He usually says something about “too soon”, but then follows along by a few days.

I hope your day’s been a good one.
I’m sure it’s been better than what those poor folks in MI have had. What a mess. Yay for the Coast Guard doing all they can to help. Just the folks for the job!

Howdy, radu. Yes, today has been a good day in spite of it getting so hot and the promise of rain going *poof*. Did you watch the storm chasers in Lubbock. Brett got some great hail and they got a ton of rain. Our friend was talking to his son there who was trying to find a place to park his car till the hail quit.LOL!
No I wouldn’t want to be in those awful floods! Hope you had some pretty weather there. Was it sunny? Did the store have litter today? LOL!
