They’re ready for their death scene, Mr Demille.
(And none too soon.)

Why not just cancel the Oscars for good? Who needs it? Every year, millions of Americans watch these rich, pampered celebrities jump onstage and pat each other on the back about how great they are, while scolding the rest of us for living our lives. They openly hate us and want us to starve to death while they sit around in their mansions. If they care about us so little, why should we care about them?

How can anyone miss celebrities playing dress up and celebrating each other for putting out bad and unwatched films?

I can’t remember the last time I actually watched the Oscars - or, for that matter, any other awards show. I couldn’t care less if they stop broadcasting it.
These shows are nothing more than a celebrity circle jerk anyway.

"Boo hoo hoo! Which direction is the Fainting Couch?" The opposite side of the room from the casting couch.

It would be kind of funny if the red carpet had those six-foot-separated stripes that we have to walk on to get into grocery stores.
To: Rummyfan
Thank God! Now it won’t be preempting something I want to watch.

All it was had become a Trump hating tirade. Nothing to do with their award.

Neither can I. It has to have been decades. And even then, if I saw part of one, it was probably ten years before that the previous time.

I do remember the last time I watched an awards show, it was the Oscars in 2004. The Lord of the Rings movie “Return of the King” swept in with 10 awards.
I don’t think I have watched a nominated movie since that time.
To: Rummyfan
But...but...how will I learn how I should think about current events and who to vote for? This is very distressing!
