We should know by now — IT’s ALL POLITICAL.

If Trump hadn’t mentioned it, and the press did not misrepresent him (e.g., he TOUTED IT AS A MAGIC BULLET), people would not be so worked up about it.

Now that Trump says he is taking it himself, expect the opposition to HCQ to be even more vehement.

White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany took on Chris Cuomo on Wednesday, saying that while he “mocked” President Trump for taking hydroxychloroquine, the CNN anchor took a less safe version of the drug himself.

“You had Chris Cuomo saying the president knows that hydroxychloroquine is not supported by science, he knows it has been flagged by his own people and he’s using it,” McEnany said at a White House press briefing.

“Cuomo mocked the president for this” but “it turns out that Chris Cuomo took a less safe version of it called quinine, which the FDA removed from the market in 2006 because it had serious side effects, including death.

A medication guide posted on the FDA’s website says the drug quinine sulfate “may cause problems with your heart rhythm that can lead to death” and “may cause your blood cell (platelet) count to drop causing serious bleeding problems. In some people, serious kidney problems can happen.”

You didn’t prescribe it to overweight patients, did you? According to Nancy there’s a problem with overweight people taking the drug, although I could find no basis for that claim anywhere.

It means they contracted Covid and recovered without serious consequences like needing ICU care or ventilation.

It’s not about preventing infection by the virus; it’s about effectively combatting the virus once one has become infected by it.

I agree that nine vs. zero is too small a sample, but it’s worth watching. What if it becomes ninety vs. zero, or even vs. five, for example? At some point, the numbers become meaningful, so meaningful that the “experiment” can’t be continued because virtually all the cops will be taking the regimen.

I think she was trying to kill her husband. By appearing to also be a victim, this threw blame off herself.

Last I read, the police are investigating the fish-tank-cleaner lady as a possible murder suspect in her husband’s death. I guess a few things didn’t quite add up.
