RE: From the article...
RESULTS:
HCQ group: 0 deaths
Non-HCQ group: 9 deaths

VERY VAGUE REPORT.
1) Deaths from what? The report did not say. Were all these deaths a result of Covid-19?
2) It also said that some of those who took HCQ contracted Covid-19 with mild attack <- what does it even mean? This simply tells us that the protective ability of HCQ against Covid-19 is not 100%.
3) The report did not mention HOW MANY WERE INFECTED in the group NOT taking HCQ vs. those taking it.
This is really a useless report.

MUMBAI: More than half of the 10,000 policemen in the city who were to be given a prophylaxis drug meant to prevent Covid, which has claimed nine lives in the police force and affected 618 policemen in the city so far, refused to take it.

In any case, I'm puzzled why the fact that other people are choosing to use HCQ seems to anger so may other people. Makes no sense as to why they'd really care. If someone else wants to take something that isn't doing them any good...so what?

It means they contracted Covid and recovered without serious consequences like needing ICU care or ventilation.
It’s not about preventing infection by the virus; it’s about effectively combatting the virus once one has become infected by it.
I agree that nine vs. zero is too small a sample, but it’s worth watching. What if it becomes ninety vs. zero, or even vs. five, for example? At some point, the numbers become meaningful, so meaningful that the “experiment” can’t be continued because virtually all the cops will be taking the regimen.
