Sounds like this is a paradox, but if this was a normal Trump appointee, Senate confirmation process would have been long and drawn out, but they moved fast on this one and I believe it is because Grenell was inflicting so much pain all over Washington with the declassification that they needed relief.
I’m guessing the sudden and rapid confirmation of Ratcliffe is related to the stinking pile of garbage fisa “reform” bill that just passed the Senate. Hope I’m wrong and POTUS vetos it. But if he signs it will will know what the horse trade was.
