President Trump tore into former Attorney General Jeff Sessions Friday evening.

Sessions is running for his old Alabama Senate seat against Tommy Tuberville.

The President took a shot at turncoat Sessions and told the people of Alabama not to trust the former AG.

After recusing himself like a coward and allowing Rosenstein and Mueller to hijack the Justice Department for two years – which ended in a bloodbath of Trump associates, former Attorney General Jeff Sessions had the nerve to run for his old Alabama senate seat and say he has Trump’s back and supports his agenda.

Sessions cited the wrong law when he recused himself from the Russia investigation and all things Hillary Clinton the first day on the job.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein became the de facto Attorney General and quickly appointed Special Counsel Robert Mueller and gave him permission to rove around unchecked in a massive, $35 million witch hunt.

Mueller, Rosenstein, Weissmann and over a dozen angry, crooked Democrat donors on the special counsel’s team ruined many lives and reputations over the past two years with perjury traps and damaging leaks to the media.

General Mike Flynn, George Papadopoulos, Paul Manafort, Roger Stone and Carter Page were targeted for ruin — Manafort ended up in solitary confinement and sentenced to over 10 years in prison.

Flynn is STILL battling a crooked judge even though the DOJ dropped the case against him after it was revealed the FBI framed Flynn!

The second Sessions recused himself, it ceased to be “his” DOJ, at least in regards to the investigation of the President. Furthermore, the President should have cleaned house at the highest levels of the DOJ as well. So, should he be blamed as well? Of course not!

I heard Sessions’ explanation for his recusal, and while I think he may have overreacted, I am not privy to all the information that he was. And I doubt you are either.

Barr should’ve been issuing indictments from day one across the board, and he appears too “reticent” to do anything either. I expect he should be fired this year for incompetence.

In a speech to the Shoals Republican Club in August, Tuberville discussed the need to build a wall on the southern border and tighten up immigration enforcement so that the U.S. can “know who’s here.”

As far as Republican speeches in Alabama go, that’s pretty much par for the course. However, it was Tuberville’s discussing what comes next that seemed to get him into trouble. “There are people coming across the border that need jobs, okay, and we want them to come over here. We just need to know who’s here, okay?” he said. “Put the wall up, then we let them come in and become citizens like we all became citizens.” Partial audio of that quote has been running on repeat over the Alabama airwaves, courtesy of Tuberville’s top opponents, former U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions and 1st District Congressman Bradley Byrne, as well as at least one super PAC. They accuse Tuberville of supporting “amnesty” for illegal immigrants.

Undeterred, Tuberville quickly called the attack “fake news” and his campaign shot right back in ads attacking Byrne and Sessions.

Looks like Tuberville is for building the wall and then letting them (immigrants)in and becoming citizens the way "we all" became citizens.

How did "we all" become citizens? Putting aside the '86 amnesty, don't all citizens become citizens, legally, by waiting in line, then getting a green card and then finally becoming citizens?

And Tuberville has been crystal clear since then saying that he's against amnesty.

Tuberville calls Sessions claim Fake News. I'm think that Tuberville may be right.

Where were you for the first two+ years of Trump’s term, living under a rock ? If I have to explain it to you at this point, you have no business participating on a serious political forum.

There have been countless articles, posts, discussions and everything else on this subject. Go back and actually read them. Read what has been said in this thread by others. Sticking your fingers in your ears and saying, “I know you are, but what am I ?” does not make you look intelligent.

You want to like Derp Jeff ? Fine. You want to think he’s great ? Fine. You’re entitled to your opinion. But what you’re not entitled to is your own personal set of facts that runs counter to the reality of his actions and his record.

We've all become aware over the last three years that there was no valid basis for both Comey's initial investigation and then Mueller's investigation. Sessions could have easily determined that and then NOT recuse himself.

He didn't do that.

He was too afraid of the Deep State.

And the rest is history.
