Did they happen to do a study to see how many Twit accounts pushing to keep America in lockdown to destroy the economy and Trump are bots?
I don't believe the CDC ordered any such thing. Could be wrong, but I'd have to see proof.
I "think" that the truth is that a lot of the existing emergency medical overflow plans, did call for moving overflow patients out of hospitals into nursing homes. And those plans may not have specifically addressed that patients with contagious disease should not be placed into the nursing homes.
But I think the evidence also shows that nursing homes tried to object. Someone at the state should have questioned the orders and intervened.
Governor Cuomo is looking ahead and doing everything he can to keep himself out of prison for thousands of counts of manslaughter. I look forward to his sentencing hearing.
Until this coronavirus crisis, I thought FR was a great place to discuss policy pros and cons with logical discussions.
Now I'm just kind of aghast at the emotionally driven arguments and the embracing of every conspiracy theory that comes along, and the lack of civil discourse.
You can see the emotions in the amount of name calling.
Still I'm hoping we get back to normal when this crisis goes away.

The headline is vastly overstated when it says “pushing to reopen America” when the actual article on says posters posting in threads about reopening American. I can assume that some who are posting in those threads are opposed to reopening.

They probably do, but the government doesn't have the right to shut down the private sector, ESPECIALLY when it comes to interfering with interstate commerce. It's never been done before and should never happen again.
What they should have done, is pull out all the stops to protect the most vulnerable....but they didn't. Instead, they destroyed small businesses and healthy people's lives. Many in lockdown have committed suicide.

I’m helping to organize a rally tomorrow to reopen our county and state. Not a bot.
I live in Maryland which is deep deep blue but I live in a reddish area.
Our group wanted to invite people to grab a meal and set up their own tables in a parking lot to share the meal together.
I called the Mayor and said “So hypothetically, if a whole crowd of people bought lunch and set up tables in the parking lot, what would the city’s response be?”
His instant answer was “Nothing”
A few hours later, we were given unfettered access to the city park, pavilion, stage etc. That was their idea, not ours.
