Sorry Gal,
You’re sugars are too high. I am not a doctor. I simply was relating what my wife has done to get off insulin and keep her sugars down with an A1c1? just above 6.
She has teeth problems as well and she sheet cooks pecans and make nut butters in the Cuisinart. Spoon fed food. Bacon cooked to a crisp for crushing into salads but the grease ends up in something else.
Sorry I couldn’t help.
If I had a wand I’d wave it in your direction. Your conditions as you noted have opposite approaches for a “fix”.
Good luck but like the US Gubmint food pyramid needing to be turned upside down the diabetic diet is equally wrong. Good luck.
You want a nut butter recipe? One thing I know whatever you do - for diabetes its got to be very low carbs. IMHO.
With a Type 2 son, I’m well aware of what I should eat. And before I took that belly flop fall on concrete, hit head on the freezer mild concussion, I ate that way. After that fall, took the medical idiots 4 yrs to stop saying Idiopathic Colitis. Gastric Delay test took 4 hrs, but was proof I had Gastropresis due to the damage to the VAGUS nerve. Memphis has C grade doctors. I’d already figured it out 3 yrs before a test was run. Nightmare. Super was a bowl of soup. No usual symptoms of BS either, other than slow healing of cuts. The constant puking was hard to get under control.PAIN was worse.
