Until body camera evidence emerges it’s safe to assume the cops are lying.

Mr. Walker, who has a license to carry a firearm, shot at them, according to his attorney, and struck one of the officers, according to police. "Totally outrageous that Mr. Walker was arrested. Three men in plain clothes break into his girlfriends home, probably with guns drawn. Mr. Walker attempts to defend her and himself and the police kill her. Repeatedly, we have read the police justifications for shooting a person be as flimsy as they thought he had something in his hand. Here we have three officers not even in uniform breaking into a house very late at night. Certainly Mr. Walker had every right and duty to fire. Even if they did declare themselves before or after breaking in, so what? How does Mr. Walker know it isn't some ruse? We defend the police by saying they have to make split second decisions or die. Well, cannot Mr. Walker use that same excuse? Frankly, I am surprised police want to do this. With the huge percentage of the population armed, breaking into a "man's" castle is a dangerous proposition. "
