Thousands of trumpet and bugle players, and other musicians across the nation, are invited to play Taps at 3:00 p.m. from wherever they are on Memorial Day to honor Americas fallen heroes.
CBS Newss Steve Hartman and retired Air Force bugler Jari Villanueva are joining forces to call upon American musicians to participate in Taps Across America as a way to keep the spirit of Memorial Day alive, even as traditional parades and other holiday events are cancelled due to the crisis caused by the Chinese coronavirus.
Hartman and Villanueva invite musicians from every corner of America, including music teachers and their students, to sound Taps on their front steps, porches, lawns, and driveways at 3:00 p.m. local time Monday.

I was asked to be the national program director for a couple of nationwide events during lockdown. One drew 5600 families and the other over 10,000. Probably 50,000 people.

My husband is all ready to play, either in the driveway or from the small covered area by the front door if it’s raining.
It’s completely against the HOA’s rules, but we don’t care. What are they going to do, fine us $50? That’s fine, here’s the check. Oh, by the way, he’ll do it next year too. Shall we pay the fine in advance?
