there isn’t anything wrong with four ten hour days, a lot of people like nurses do a lot hours in a few days then get three or four days off in a row. Like nothing wrong with working from home if it fits the business.

As long as it’s not MANDATED then who cares.

Four-day work weeks are much easier to implement in industries and institutions that operate 24/7. That’s why nurses and police officers can do it. For jobs that are client-oriented and are at least loosely tied to what known as “normal business hours,” this is more difficult to implement because the business has to be staffed for five days while people are only working four.

A former employer of mine once instituted a four-day work week for his professional services company. It lasted for several weeks before he shut it down. The trigger for the shutdown was the Friday when he was the only one in the office and realized there was nobody answering the phone when a client called. It’s kind of baffling that he didn’t think of that beforehand.
