Just when the public needed the media to play it straight, the growing bias in the press let them down and made the coronavirus crisis “worse than it needed to be,” according to a new analysis.
Already facing a substantial trust gap, the latest Gallup/Knight Foundation survey found that people in the United States were concerned about the media exaggerating the illness or downplaying how the crisis caused substantial harm.

They lost their flipping minds during this. Probably because the people who signed their paychecks have been panicking over the looming losses that will happen to the Left.

The media intentionally botches EVERYTHING.
The Poll question does not ask “Did the Media Exaggerate?” instead it asks,”Do you agree that any news organization that *does* exaggerate also causes harm?”
It is very misleading to infer the poll results mean all these people believe the media actually did exaggerate.
We know this is the case, but this poll does not attest to wide spread belief in this.
It rather says that people don’t like the idea of exaggeration.
Totally different thing.
The media plays up the hysteria every day.
Astute observation about the complaisant attitudes of the Democrats in the sample.
I theorize it’s because news organs are viewed as serving a higher purpose: the Agenda.
And as we know, “exaggeration in the pursuit of social justice is no vice.”
the media/dem complex has been working overtime to spread panic. They were successful. They are hopeful that they will be successful in defeating Trump this time.

Anything that can be tortured and twisted into a political issue will be by the media. Even the time and temperature has become suspect.
