Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp has offered up his state as the site for this summer’s Republican National Convention after President Trump threatened on Sunday to move the event from North Carolina if that state’s governor can’t guarantee the party will be allowed “full attendance” at the convention.
Kemp, a Republican, tweeted Monday morning that “Georgia would be honored to safely host” the RNC this summer and asked Trump to consider holding the convention in the state.
“With world-class facilities, restaurants, hotels, and workforce, Georgia would be honored to safely host the Republican National Convention,” Kemp tweeted. “We hope you will consider the Peach State, @realdonaldtrump!”

this makes sense! why have a convention in a state that has a Dem governor anyhow?
Most of the money would go to Atlanta. Atlanta and its congressional district hates Trump. It doesn’t seem right to reward them.

This is very confusing. Who is this Kemp guy? Everybody on MSNBC says that Stacey Abrams is the true governor of Georgia.

Orlando has the hotels, restaurants whores and Disney.

I am partial to N. GA. but something on the coast may be better suited for a large capacity convention.

We might actually nurse NC back on the right side of the slate. Away from some metro areas, NC is very much like Texas.
I have family there. They are all Republican.

Governor Cooper (Tyrant-NC) has got to be taking big-time heat from businesses who were no doubt counting on the GOP convention to help recover some of the losses they have incurred — and continue to incur — from the governor’s tyrannical overreaction to the Chinese virus. The citizens of North Carolina must be reeling now that they know their state may remain shut down through the end of August — the entire summer — for another three months!
That’s very generous of him, especially after Trump attacked him twice for reopening. And then Trump appeared to come to his senses, thank God.
Hey maybe they could do the next episode of The Walking Dead while they’re at it. ...Trump could replace Rick. ...so cool....
