But the United States of America is about to learn the same lesson the hard way, also.

I know, it won't happen here because we got guns. So did the people of Brittan. The Government did not take them. They asked the people to turn them in to the Government. The people complied. Just as it will happen here. The Government has learned, and learned well that when they genuinely want to get something, crate a panic and the sheep will demand to be ruled and controlled. Not only will the biggest majority comply, but experience has shown that those who do comply will turn in those who do not comply to the authorities. And they will be dealt with quickly, violently, and severely. When they sincerely get ready to take the firearms[ and they will, the only question remaining to be answered is when] they will create a panic, who knows what, the last one happened to be a virus. Then they will announce that, for some reason, people need to turn in their firearms in at their local police station. Most, but not all will comply. Those that do not comply will be turned in to the authorities.

What we have in America are hundreds of millions of unregistered guns. All guns in Britain have been registered since the 1920’s. When the British police demanded people turn in their guns, they already knew who owned what.
The 4473 filled out at the gun store is not proof of ownership (yeah, secret illegal databases, etc). Even the most hardcore gun-haters hesitate at door to door searches.
Americans showed a lot of defiance and civil disobedience during the COVID crisis. That will pale when Dear Leader orders “round up all the guns” and then things will turn deadly.
Paki grooming gangs hardly exist this side of the pond. Yes, it’s all those bad old guns owned anonymously. Omar & Achmed don’t want to be perforated and as muzzies they’re easy to spot.
In my opinion, COVID has a silver lining, of sorts: the powers who would rule us have learned they have skin in the game; i.e. their own miserable hides.
In America, muzzies and gungrabbers have a common enemy: the armed citizen. Britain has gone Islamofascist authoritarian. Their population is disarmed and helpless. We’re not there yet by a long shot.
Partial proof: In Britain gungrabbers lecture us Yanks for our “lax gun laws”. In America they rail against “NRA and gun manufacturers” with a side of “white nationalism” thrown in.
