We may not like to hear this, but Cuomo is on solid legal ground here — for the same reason states have no obligation to help the FBI and ATF enforce Federal gun laws. What this law DOES mean is that a NY license or vehicle registration is worthless for Federal ID purposes.
It would be interesting if all airports rejected NY state drivers license and required US Passports from all NY residents who wanted to fly.
We own a cottage in Ontario, and because we travel across so much, the wife and I both have Nexus passes.
The last time we crossed was a few days before the border was closed, thanks to the WuFlu. When we were coming back through US Customs, the inspector made the comment that both of ours come up for renewal in September and that we both should start carrying our passports when crossing, and keep them current, as we probably won’t be able to renew Nexus anytime soon. He mentioned that we should contact our Governor with any complaints. LOL
