WaPo Is Not Even Pretending to Be Unbiased Anymore
PJ Media ^ | 28 May 2020 | Jim Treacher

Are media outlets supposed to be openly collaborating with presidential candidates to promote their campaigns? Is that a thing now? It’s not like the news even pretends to be unbiased anymore, but what you’re about to watch seems like something new.

...

I’m not a journalist or a lawyer, so I can’t speak to any ethical or legal concerns about the second-biggest newspaper in America openly collaborating with one of the candidates during a presidential campaign. I assume it’s all above board, or WaPo wouldn’t have approved it. If they want to look like they’re directly working for Biden’s campaign, that’s their business. It’s not like they have much of a reputation left to destroy anyway. Nobody really believes WaPo is unbiased and impartial, least of all the people who are paid to say WaPo is unbiased and impartial. They all want Biden to win, because they’re all Democrats.

I think the front page Countdown To Sweeping Out Trump numbers were a clue.

The way things are going they probably will actually do that shortly. I should be quiet.

They basically believe that anyone who doesn’t hate Trump is not even a human being.

The press has always been biased. I don’t know why we ever started to believe they are not.

Does anyone remember the WaPo and NYTimes setting journalistic policy NOT to be objective, but to ADVOCATE for social justice? This was 2007-8 I think. My jaw dropped then and I was surprised there wasn’t more comment (aside from Free Republic) Everything the NYT and WaPo have done since then has been consistent with that policy.

WaPo is the same laboratory that created the Frankenstein Monster Jennifer Rubin.

So yeah, they are bias.

2016 was the election in which Hillary would take it all and the Left would permanently cement the gains made under Obama. Republicans would never recover from their loss.

But it was not to be.

2020 was going to be the year in which the impeached Donald Trump was thrown out and the Left began to reclaim what was rightly theirs.

But they know that is slipping away.

They are desperate now. The courts are changing, economic gains may solidify. Global treaties are being remade. China may collapse. If the Left doesn’t win in 2020 — and they don’t think they will — then the Left may never recover from their loss.

This terrifies them. The gloves are off, the mask is down. They will hold nothing back.

Interesting article dated in 2014 re Bezos and Amazon.

Bezos acquired the Washington Post apparently in August 2013.https://money.cnn.com/2013/08/05/news/companies/washington-post-bezos/index.html

According to this 2014 Huffington Post article:
“ Amazon has a new $600 million “cloud” computing deal with the CIA.”
“The recent purchase of the Washington Post by Jeff Bezos has poured some high-finance concrete for a new structural bridge between the media industry and the surveillance/warfare state. The development puts the CIA in closer institutionalized proximity to the Post, arguably the most important political media outlet in the United States.”

Yep, you are right. But it is still a faulty perception. Look at Walter Cronkite and how he was supposedly neutral and yet shaped the US actions in Vietnam.
