Protesters Enter Minneapolis Police Station, Set Fires

Protesters angered by the death of George Floyd, a handcuffed black man who died while in police custody, gained access to a Minneapolis police precinct on Thursday, the third straight night of violent protests spreading beyond the city.

Livestream video showed the protesters entering the building, where fire alarms blared and sprinklers ran as blazes were set.

Dozens of businesses across the Twin Cities were boarding up their windows and doors Thursday in an effort to prevent looting, with the Minneapolis-based Target announcing it was temporarily closing two dozen area stores. Minneapolis shut down nearly its entire light-rail system and all bus service through Sunday out of safety concerns.

The experience a friend of mine had was that the warehouse he worked at elected to stay open, so all the employees were bringing their boomsticks to work with them, not only to protect themselves during their commute to work but also to defend the business with if need be. They set a watch and the plan was that if any of the ruckus got close the watch was to advise and keep track about it and if badguys got closer than a predetermined distance only then would they "show teeth" and bounce some rounds downrange to make the outlaws scamper. Never came to that, the destruction halted two blocks away. Friend was an Army Ranger and a number of other employees were former infantry riflemen, so the thugs would have been in deep dookey if they'd tangled with that bunch.

Much of the blame for the mayhem can be laid right at the feet of the Communist “media”. They are inciting as much violence as possible.

As I stated in another thread, my feelings toward the MSM go beyond hatred. I hate them so much that I words can’t express my true feelings.

They needed reinforcements the first night of rioting when I saw a solid line of bicycle cops at the precinct suddenly shrink down and do nothing more than put up crowd control barricades instead of holding their ground and calling for backup.

I think the death of this guy was horrible but I can’t blame all police.....the police will probably do what they did in Baltimore.....just stop policing black areas....the crime rate will skyrocket and the black police chief will end up begging the police to stop the damage...

I was watching one video of a guy busting all the windows at the Autozone (which later burned). The guy was by himself dressed in black with a full-face respirator on. He was as white as these guys.

Rumor is that he is a cop. But hard to say with only his eyes and cheeks showing. I’m guessing Antifa - their symbols were drawn on the burning buildings and on the police station.

Not too many houses right there - but you move off a few blocks and there are. One of the buildings they burned down was a huge apartment building under construction - was to be for affordable housing.

I was just looking on Google Earth and my aunt had pretty nice large house in a quiet neighborhood and was just across the street from Minnehaha Creek and the green belt. 150’ x 200’ lot or more. Nice lawn, big shade trees, white picket fence. It is about 2 miles south of the riots. An entirely different world though.
