Twitter said Friday morning that a tweet from President Trump in which he threatened shooting in response to civil unrest in Minneapolis violated the company's rules. The company said it was leaving the tweet up in the public interest.
Why it matters: The move exacerbates tensions between Twitter and Trump over the company's authority to label or limit his speech and, conversely, the president's authority to dictate rules for a private company.

Clearly Twitter has a rule against Advocating Law & Order.
I didnt see a damn thing in Trumps tweet that glorified violence.
Their heads are exploding over the word “thugs”.
They will
Right. The word “shooting” could mean warning shots in the air, blanks, beanbags, rubber bullets, or even tranquilizers like they use for wild rhinoceri. It’s defensive when used to keep order.
“unrest” clever, nope.
Twitter is going to find reasons to complain about most, if not all, of his tweets now.
>> When the looting starts, the shooting starts...
Perfect.
Does that concern you?
It’s not even clear if POTUS was referring to having the National Guard shoot looters or whether he was saying shootings will be inevitable once looting starts, as shop owners will shoot to defend their property. Either way, there was nothing wrong with the tweet.
This will make Trump more popular. LOL
Yes, it does. Censorship of his tweets, the only clear way to get his message out, should concern all.
I guess some people on here dont care.
Shooting looters use to be the way these break down’s of law and order were handled. Screw political correctness, looters need to know it could be their last day on Earth if they join in the mayhem.
Could also mean the thugs start shooting each other..
Musk smokes weed, Twitter rocks meth
That little flaming gay guy, YOYO, at it again from his mommy’s basement.
He didn’t threaten shooting in response to unrest, he told them to get their act together so he didn’t have to sent troops, because they might shoot looters. He was quoting a phrase he heard from somewhere first uttered by the Miami police chief during the ‘67 riots.
Claiming that advocating avoiding violence glorifies it is loony!
*send troops
Twitter is going to get its electronic balls cut off soon.
They are extremely leftist and anti-Trump. There is a difference between “hyperbole” and “glorifying” violence. However Twitter’s leader, a hardcore Trump-hater with similar policies, refuses to acknowledge the fact that the hardcore Left/Marxist/Communists/Anarchists/Black extremists started the violence and are continuing as I write.
As a reporter who has covered similar riots (demonstrations deliberately turned into violence), I can say that Twitter is full of Marxist hatred and crap. Time to reign them in because they are like a “mad cow diseased” animal, running amuck, destroying everything in its path.
