SENATOR Ted Cruz is calling for a criminal investigation into Twitter for potentially "violating US sanctions against Iran."

Cruz asked for the investigation in a letter to the Justice and Treasury departments on Friday.

In February, Cruz wrote a letter to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to ask him to stop providing social media services to Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei and Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif.

Now, the senator is calling on Attorney General William Barr and Secretary Steve Mnuchin to "take action."

In Friday's letter, Cruz wrote: "I believe that the primary goal of (the International Emergency Economic Powers Act) and sanctions law should be to change the behavior of designated individuals and regimes, not American companies,.

"But when a company willfully and openly violates the law after receiving formal notice that it is unlawfully supporting designated individuals, the federal government should take action."

WATCH 📺: For too long, Twitter has gone unchecked. It’s time to do something about it.

On @FoxBusiness now with @Varneyco to talk about my call for AG Barr & Sec. Mnuchin to open a criminal investigation into @Twitter’s violation of US sanctions against Iran.— Senator Ted Cruz (@SenTedCruz) May 29, 2020

I wanted Ted Cruz to be Donald Trump’s VP pick. Sadly that didn’t work out. But it’s good to see them working together now.

Cruz may want to bump out Pence.

After we learn more about Pence & PEPFAR-General Fund-UN-mystery grants, it may be much easier.

Two prong approach.

Twitter chooses to publish messages from Iranian leadership, in violation of existing law.
Twitter chooses to restrict publication of messages from the President of the United states in the midst of a re-election campaign.

Twitter can be a Publisher. They can make choices about what they publish. But then the rules change, and some protection gets lifted.

It’s becoming more and more clear that Twitter and some other big tech giants are in China’s back pocket.

Don’t forget they’ve been promoting the Chinese Communist Party’s propaganda as “Truth” while “fact checking” the POTUS tweets, for political reasons.

I believe that Twitter is also publicly banned in China...

If there is a criminal investigation, then and only then will I give credit to Cruz for actually doing something conservative. Right now it’s just talk.

Cruz could not be VP, because Cruz is not eligible to be President.
You would have to be a Constitutionalist to understand what I said there.
You would have to be a lawyer to try to find some way that what I said is not true.

You both suffer from CDS. There seems to be no hope for either of you to overcome it.

It’s becoming more and more clear that Twitter and some other big tech giants are in China’s back pocket.

Could you say that louder for the benefit of Semimojo, FreedomNotSafety, and other freepers who have trouble grasping this simply concept?

These foolish people are allowing GOVERNMENT CENSORSHIP through the back door of a "private" company pretending that this censorship is entirely their own idea.

You can't have "private" censorship without government's exerting pressure to force the "private" companies to do what they want.

Google! Want to lose all of the Chinese market? Do what China says or else! Facebook! Want to lose all the Chinese market? Do what China says or else! Twitter! Want to lose all the Chinese market? Do what China says or else!

Google, Facebook, Twitter; "YES SIR!! RIGHT AWAY SIR!!!"

Alphabet, parent company of Google, where Google is the parent company of YouTube... Alphabet is certainly financially tied to the ChiCom military.

They’ve been actively working with the ChiCom military scientists to develop AI for military, as well as civilian control through facial recognition and other means.

Google engineers have openly said in the past they if they worked on US DoD projects, they would actively work to sabotage them. At the same time, they’re happy to work for the military of the government founded by Mao, the greatest mass murderer in human history. CCP actively oppresses minorities for racial, social, and religious reasons, uses slave labor, is reported to use political prisoners to “farm” human organs for transplants, and is breaking the treaty for Hong Kong. And Google and its engineers are more than happy to supply the murderous regime with tools to enslave and oppress Tibet, the Weigers, Hong Kong, and eventually Taiwan.

Google needs to be labeled subversive and an agent of foreign powers. Way past time we crushed google into paste.
