A political science professor who predicted President Trump's win in 2016 is forecasting another victory.

In an interview on "The Ingraham Angle." Stony Brook University's Helmut Norpoth stated Friday that he believes the key to another victory for the president lies in the examination of primary races.

"OK, the key to the November election is the primaries. And, the only primaries [are] already giving us a lot of information," he explained.

I think one reason is because Biden can’t put together a complete sentence anymore. How are they going to carry him across the finish line in a debate? We know they cheated on the 2016 debates, how do we stop it now?

Biden doesnt even know his own name..he has people yelling at him telling him what to say and he cant even get that right..even Dems know whoever Joe nominates for VP is going to be President..Joe will be declared incompetent and those around him will run the show

Yes, that is the key factor. The Democrats have no viable opponent to put up against him. They really don’t. They’ve purged every sane and rational person from their party, and their old-guard known quantities have all gotten REALLY REALLY OLD.

If Joe wins this election, it is possible he would be removed from office under the 25th Amendment. I don’t know all the details of that however I know there’s a process where the president’s cabinet can declare the president to be incapable of carrying out the duties of the office.

By definition all of the members of the president’s cabinet will be loyal Democrats. There’s all this chatter among loyal Democrats that they really are not happy with Joe as the presumptive nominee. And then this ties in with his choice of vice presidential running mate being extremely important, because she would very likely become president.

And we’ve heard chatter from Democrats that Joe is a placeholder for whoever the actual nominee or actual president will be if the Democrats win this presidential election.

Where there’s smoke there’s fire? It sure sounds like if Joe somehow can win this election he is not going to serve a full four-year term.

In that scenario it would also be open to question whether or not he was of sound mind when he chose his Veep. A real kettle of worms, that’s for sure.

“The president would need to carry all of the states he won in 2016 plus New Mexico, Nevada, Colorado, Vermont, Virginia, Minnesota, Maine, and New Hampshire.”

You guys get busy! Wisconsin will deliver President Trump, again!

Secondly - I was blown away by all of the people that came out to VOTE for President Trump in the Primaries, when they really didn’t need to! Thirteen MILLION + votes!

“The president would need to carry all of the states he won in 2016 plus New Mexico, Nevada, Colorado, Vermont, Virginia, Minnesota, Maine, and New Hampshire.” - for 362 EV’s, according to the prediction. All POTUS needs is 270, but, I do believe he’ll get much more EV’s than last time. That’s why [they] are throwing pandemics/race riots and everything else at POTUS. It won’t work. “Man proposes, God disposes.”

"OK, the key to the November election is the primaries. And, the only primaries [are] already giving us a lot of information," he explained.

And, based on that, Donald Trump won them very easily in his party," Norpoth continued.

Not hard to do when you're basically running unopposed in the primaries.

The president would need to carry all of the states he won in 2016 plus New Mexico, Nevada, Colorado, Vermont, Virginia, Minnesota, Maine, and New Hampshire.

He really thinks Trump is going to flip all those states? Really?

The Demonicrats will do whatever it takes (including violence at the polls, and threatening the families of the electors) in trying to get FlatlineJoe and his Manchurian VP Candidate elected.

I wouldn’t even think of taking the VP slot because if Joe wins then Nancy Pelosi will surely remain as the number three in the line of succession.

The professor is a right-wing idiot. His reasoning - Trump easily won his primaries, Biden had to struggle, so Trump will win the general. Has anyone told him about G.H.W.P.B.T. Bush in 1992? Who won his primaries, while W.J.B.J. Clinton had to struggle mightily? And Clinton still beat Bush.

This one sliver of reasoning (which is all he offers) is nonsense.

No, it was the numbers which turned out to vote for Trump in the primaries that matter, and he set records. No incumbent has ever lost when their base turns out for them when they didn’t need to.

Compared to Reagan 84 and Nixon 72, Bush 92 did have it difficult. Buchanan was hugely underfunded and got a historically large percentage of the vote against an incumbent President.

If he can’t beat Biden, then he can’t beat anyone.

Even Biden can beat Biden. He said so himself.

"The Democrats...have purged every sane and rational person from their party..."

I'd argue that sane & rational persons have purged themselves from the party, but same difference.
