Without Musk this would have taken another decade and cost billions more. There are some things I don’t like about Musk, but he’s one of the few guys left in Silicon Valley who remember that this place used to be about innovation, not left-wing politics and encrusted corporate bureaucracy.

"The technology is incredible!" Yes. But I didn't see the recovery of the first stage on the ship. I think the economics of space flight might require such recovery, at least some large proportion of flights.
Did I miss something? This recovery process is so like the spaceship descriptions I read about in science fiction as a kid. I was and am looking forward to viewing the recovery.

Loved hearing “nominal” over and over during the launch. They (the whole team) made it look routine. Of course, F9 launches and recoveries are becoming pretty routine. Like they said in “The Hitman’s Bodyguard” - boring is always best.
