In general, people get more conservative as they age. There are countless studies supporting this assertion. Indeed, Boomers are more conservative than youngsters. And today's youngsters will eventually grow more conservative with age. It happens.
AND YET...conservatives in DC tend to get more liberal with age. And, indeed, it seems people large numbers of people who were Reaganites and are still in that Beltway mindset are now NeverTrumpers.
Even conservatives in LA and NYC seem to get more conservative over time.
