That’s a fact.
The riots that the democRATs are endorsing are a great reason why there is no need for “Cheat By Mail”, too.
Our Republic was founded on the idea that an active, informed free people can sustain a government by self-rule that will provide a better government than does a monarchy or oligarchic elite. Such a government can only be sustained by having direct participation by its citizens.
In-person voting is important as we citizens gather together, are vetted by showing we are the named person voting, are residents of the locality and are citizens eligible to vote. We then write out our ballot and drop it in the box. The ritual and act is important as each voter has the feeling that he/she is participating in our society.
Of course. Massive voter fraud is the Democrats’ only hope.
The democrats wouldn’t even exist if not for voter fraud. they use it every election. It’s how they’ve taken over so many major cities.
But if they end the mail-in voting now, what happens to the Dems who already voted against Trump on ballots early and often. Nursing home residents and dead voters still on registration rolls voted Dem all the way.
Some Dems voted a dozen times already. Will their votes not count now? What kind of America is this, anyway? /S
Typical Conservative Inc. claptrap. This is the “just the tip” strategy that has served America so well for the last 70 years (”just the tip” is the standard conservative answer, it’s never, “Hell, no you won’t!”).
The conservatives have accepted the Leftist major premise (as they always do), which is that not enough people are voting, that this is a “stain on our democracy”, and that voting should therefore be made easier.
The CORRECT premise is that too many people are voting, which reduces the quality of public servants, which compromises our quality of life and eventually our safety, and that voting should therefore be made harder.
There should be no mail in voting, ever. There should be no electronic voting, and any mechanical voting “machine” should be locked with a seal and should be observed before, during, and after use by election judges with opposed interests.
Paper ballots should be the standard. They must be received, in person, at a designated polling place from an election judge who is under observation by poll watchers with opposed interests.
Voting hours should be liberal, but should not exceed 7AM-9PM on a single day which is uniform throughout the United States. Counting of ballots should occur at the point of collection, by counters with opposed interests, and tallies must be completed by 3AM the day after the close of voting and submitted to the relevant authorities by 5AM that morning.
As soon as votes are tallied and the tally sheets signed, all physical ballots must be secured under lock, key, and seal with access only by court order, and once the election is certified by the supervising authority (which in the case of choosing of Electors must be under the control of a State Legislature), all physical ballots and tally sheets should be destroyed.
