When Robert ‘Beto’ O’Rourke was still vying for the Democrat nomination–and pledging to come take away your AR-15–Breitbart News spoke with the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) about what a Herculean task that would be. After all, the AR-15 is the most popular rifle platform in America.

NSSF shared their calculations with Breitbart, showing an estimated 16= million privately owned AR-15s in the U.S.

All “they’ll” do is scream that breaking a window doesn’t justify filling perp with holes!

The kids went out looking for ammo this morning at some of the big box sports stores. Nada. Zip, zilch, zero.

In my state you cannot use deadly force to protect property. However, if you are in fear for your life - either losing it or suffering "grave harm" then lethal force is legal.

Now, I could tell you exactly how I interpret that but... If I ever have to use lethal force and some pantywaist finds my postings here I don't want to have anything written down that could be construed as "premeditation."

“All “they’ll” do is scream that breaking a window doesn’t justify filling perp with holes!”

That’s exactly what the Salt Lake City chief of police said on TV last night. Looters will NOT be shot. Of course, he doesn’t own a business downtown.

Good Point.

I’m still trying to figure out why the store owner in Dallas had a sword.

It’s Texas! Get a shotgun, a rifle, a six shooter or at least a bull whip.

[[All “they’ll” do is scream that breaking a window doesn’t justify filling perp with holes!]]

And those protecting their stores will calmly point out that in most states, have a right to protect anyone who is being threatened, or their stores being threatened, is a constitutionally protected defense of self or property-

The left can scream all they want- the law allows a homeowner, or store owner to protect themsleves agaisnt anyone breaking into their home or store in most states-

as the saying goes- you don’t want stupid prizes? Then don’t play stupid games- pretty simple really-

people wanna ignore facts, and launch protests? Then stand outside peacefully holding signs, and don’t get aggressive about it- don’t attack other people or their stuff- and everything will be just fine- this isn’t a hard concept to grasp-!

This morning I wrote Cuomo an email requested that in light of yesterday’s riots in NY, he repeal the Safe Act so people can defend their families and property from the violence. I am sure it went straight into the circular bit bucket. He cares nothing for the people of NY. His words and deeds prove it daily.

And that number is only the tip of the iceberg. Throw in every other type of rifle plus handguns...well, there is a formidable force in the hands of Americans.

Never got into guns for anything but sport and fun, with self defense in the back of my mind. Never thought I might have to use them against mobs but that scenario is becoming more likely every day.

I stopped at my local Academy Sports yesterday (N GA) because I needed a sling mount for my AR. Took a glance at the ammo selection - no 223 & only about 4 boxes of 5.56 left. No surprise there. But even the sling mounts (and the slings) were entirely gone - just lots of empty hooks.

Yup, in free states. When we moved from NC to CA a few years ago (grand-children) I sold my AR since I would have been considered a felon by CA law. The fallback position is a .30-30 and a few shotguns will have to do.

Gonna head out to Lake Elsinore and hire a diver to try to recover my guns that fell overboard when hitting the the wake of a bigger boat. Not sure they would be fixable. Anyone here knows?
