Technically this is legal - but as the attorney general is intimately involved in this case, doesnt that mean he should recuse himself?

This would actually be quite comical IF it wasn’t so serious....
Let’s see...Let’s put the fox in the hen house to guard the eggs. Oh wait, we need the fox to guard the chickens too....Oh wait...what happened to the chickens??? Morons.

Legal stuff always amazes me.
Derek Chauvin is charged with third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter
He didn't kill two guys. This almost seems like double jeopardy. Or something.

Yeah, I want the person who’s been publicly telling rioting people to go after cops, prosecuting this case. A bit of a conflict of interest there.

Off topic, but Dow Jones, S&P, and Nasdaq futures are now positive (after being pretty low earlier).

So when’s Keith going to start prosecuting all those “white supremacists” destroying Minneapolis? Just asking.

Keith Ellison and his son are tainted by their affiliation with members of Antifa. He must recuse himself.
Can you imagine Klansman Robert Byrd being permitted to preside over a trial while the KKK are engaging in terrorist attacks on communities across the country after a controversial “rape” charge is made?

OK...the preliminary autopsy report says that the "neck pressure" (my words) wasn't the cause of death. And that preliminary report stated that the toxicology screening results are still pending.
If,by chance, the final report shows that he was on one or more intoxicating substances at the time of his arrest (booze,drugs,etc)...and my money's on that being the case...what will be the final charges filed?
Also, the DOJ is involved here.It will be interesting to see what charges,if any, they might file.

“Minnesota’s governor appointed state Attorney General Keith Ellison on Sunday to lead the prosecution of any cases arising from the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody.”
Why not announce the death sentence first. Then, after the execution, evidence can be collected.
This will be a kangaroo court episode of the first order.
