Agreed. And yes, things can get worse. A lot worse. That is the Democrat and Globalist plan.

I don't think in red states will become Venezuela. Blue states are another matter. These tyrannical democrat governors are hell bent on economic destruction, and the worst part is that most of them are in power till 2022.

I know this is federalism in action, but it just fractures us as a society.

Just elect some Democrats, and those food shortages will come swiftly. The Democrats will ban petroleum—its extraction, refining, production, sale, and combustion—to counter the great emergency of “global warming.” Without diesel fuel or some other form of petroleum, most trucks simply cannot run. Natural gas also faces bans, so they can try to run on biodiesel, which largely does not exist and typically requires fossil-fuel inputs.

If for some reason, that trick doesn’t produce the desired famine to welcome an advanced (read:totalitarian Communist) society, then they’ll try something else.
