I have been watching at least 7 hours of news TV starting Sunday. I would say at least 95% of the protesters at legal hours are peaceful, and the DC police mostly restrained. It may have been smoke bombs before Trump’s walk, but the peaceful protesters were definitely running away from something. Apparently not DC police. Now there is a very large crowd in front of the Lincoln Memorial on the Mall. Below is what I posted elsewhere with links. My evaluations are influenced by the results I saw in person of the 1968 MLK riots and arson in DC.

“Regarding trouble makers—BLM/Antifa/”GimmeStuff/KKK, here is how it looked in DC over time. Trumps inaugural, I saw some window breaking/other vandalism, my guess Antifa types. This past Sunday night, intermittent window breaking, mostly minor arson before 11pm curfew, some Antifa/BLM/independent trouble makers. After 11pm mostly vandals and thieves(GimmeStuffs). Reportedly 88 arrested mostly for robbery and vandalism. Monday after the curfew, action moved from around 16th and H and I up to 14th and S and Swann, NW. Many refused to leave for curfew and accepted arrest for violating curfew, something like 300 people mostly non-violent, non-criminal.

I wonder how many had planned to do that before the President’s actions that evening at 7pm. About 30 minutes before 7pm, please fired on peaceful protestors with tear gas and smoke bombs, driving them away from the area. Then President Trump (who apparently had ordered this action), walked from the White House to the church whose office had been burned the night before. He stood on the church property and made his speech with Bible in hand. Later, that evening the Episcopal Bishop of DC denounced his behavior, causing her seminarians who were among the peaceful demonstrators to be gassed so he could stand on her churche’s grounds, without notice or permission to make his political statement. Later when the 11pm news shows had ended, the people around 15th and Swann were being gassed, and a neighbor allowed around 60 to seek shelter and spend the night in his home until the 6am lifting of the curfew. Now showing much larger group of demonstrators who marched from H St. to U St. and back. A friend tells me there is a demonstration planned for the Mall on Wednesday. I suspect these crowds are growing because of the Trump intervention.

Almost all articles posted were linking the gassing of peaceful protesters and Trump’s display on Church property without permission. Just now was informed church people were on the grounds serving water and other help and were driven away by the police actions and chemicals.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0oRQF68psdY This is a video that actually shows and broadcasts Trump in front of the church. To the left you can see where someone ran down stairs to throw something burning inside a church office. It was put out without spreading, but the rest of the church is also now boarded up. There are many comments below the video, all I saw were negative. The following video was Biden speaking. Equal time doctrine? Time will tell if this hurts or helps Trump’s election results.” I think today’s demos are larger in DC as a result.

The actual REV of that church welcomed POTUS there so who cares what anyone says of this gesture?

I’m not worried or interested in what people said about it on the left.

SORRY case of TLDR

According to the Park Police, no tear gas was used to move the crowd back from Lafayette Park.

If you watched 7 hours of news on TV, don’t you suppose that most of it was fake? Your analysis is replete with errors, which some subsequent posters have pointed out. Sheesh 🙄

You may just have established a reputation as one, or perhaps more of the following:

(1) incredibly ignorant
(2) extremely gullible
(3) unbelievably dishonest

People who post on this forum who fit any of these descriptions lose all credibility, and are never believed or taken seriously.

Good luck to you in the future.
