Fury over the cruel death of George Floyd, a black man in police custody, combined with fear of a deadly virus and its painful economic impact, make this a dark, dizzying moment in our national life. But African-Americans shouldn’t feel hopeless, because the black vote does matter — it has never mattered more. It is at the heart of the fight to take back America.
The biggest story of 2020 politics is hard to ignore. But somehow it is being ignored.

My feelings too. If a change is going to happen then it is the black community what has to change. Stop playing victim, you have racial quotas affirmative action, lower interest loans, buiness loans etc. we just had a black President, AG, and like you said blacks are in all positions. Sort families out, educate, work hard, .
I came from a slum and never had hot water except for two hours a day, no heat except for 2 hours, druggies everywhere no phone, no vehicle etc.
I joined the military and then I worked hard once I left over 80 hours a week with 4 jobs

I did the same worked in the restaurant business worked so many hours 70-80 a week in management for years THEN the company I worked for offered to sell me a franchise just for the cost of the liquor license and I was off and running it was my extremely hard work for that company that gave me the opportunity of a lifetime!! People can work their way up in many, many, of these companies McDonalds, Dominos Pizza, if you start as a staff member work up to manager they will BOTH give you sweetheart deals for franchises!! I have posted elsewhere and I still contend the polling done by Democrats during Trump’s presidency that the blacks were starting to leave the Democrat plantation.
Hence, this is the principal reason for the Democrat, media, and Hollywood incitements for the blacks to protest and the Antifa crowd to make the matters worse by adding rioting and looting to the process.

I’m so confused. When these “peaceful protests” turn into looting, arson and violence, the media and Democrats tell us it is white infiltrators, not black people committing the crimes. But, somehow, black people are supposed to be so offended that they’ll all come back to the Democrat Party. Either they weren’t leaving the party to begin with or they’ve forgotten every way they prospered under the first three years of Trump in order to go back to what life was under eight years of Obama.
