The Brinks Truck robbery in Nanuet, NY back in October 1981 was done by members of the “Black Liberation Army,” who saw themselves as soldiers in an armed rebellion.
Kathy Boudin, who participated in the robbery and in the subsequent murder of two Nanuet police officers, ‘Chip’ Brown and Edward O’Grady. In the original robbery, one of the Brinks truck drivers was also killed; his name was Peter Paige.
In 2008, Kathy Boudin became a professor at Columbia University’s School of Social Work.
Her son Chesa, who she dropped off at day care before participating in the Brinks robbery, is currently the District Attorney of San Francisco.
