There seems to be a developing liberal narrative, that the police are being too hard on the rioters.
In this particular case, the claim is that they were peaceful protesters, and not violent at the moment they were pushed back to create the security perimeter.
What the heck?
They should cancel Acosta’s press pass.
Do it to every reporter in there that asks gotch questions
every time their turn comes up.
Look, there ARE hard questions that should be asked, but the
one or two minute lead in to these gotcha questions are
designed to trash Trump in the face of anyone watching.
I’m done with that.

As far as I am concerned, the matter is now settled and closed for me.
The refusal to move back to allow Trump to pass through was reason enough.
The protesters turned violent first, then law officers have the authority to defend.
I saw the press conference. Media kept calling the smoke and pepper spray chemical weapons. The police used “chemical weapons” on protestors. So disgusting the way they try to spin the narrative.
I think it’s neat - this new kind of tear gas they invented. The cops in the vicinity don’t need to wear gas masks - it doesn’t affect them - and the President can walk through the same area that has been sprayed with tear gas and it doesn’t affect him either. Only the protestors are affected.
What will they think of next?
As for the phrase “peaceful protestor” - it all depends on the object you are protesting against. If you are protesting against Trump or the police, then throwing bricks and caustic liquids is obviously in the cause of peace, thus the protest is a “peaceful” one. No problem.

Can’t “pummel” Acosta. He’s like wack-a-mole. Even if you hit him hard, he just pops up out of another hole with the same narrative. But I’m sure she made him look like a jack-ass, because he isn’t far off from that already.
