Too bad only the left can fight in the streets.
Yep.
We essentially surrendered.
It would be great if 100s or thousands of “Missing Person” posters get plastered everywhere— “He (or she) resides in Beverly Hills and last seen at a rally protest”.
President Trump needs to federalize the National Guard. But using them is all about timing. As long as the protests remain peaceful they need to be left alone. Once violence happens the guard needs to come in and close things down. Eventually those who are just in it for the thrill and peaceful will get tired and leave. Popular support in the area must drop before the guard can be used

Am I the only one wondering if China is waiting for the military to be involved in the streets to initiate one or more territorial grabs? Dare I ponder the possibility of collusion?
He wrote: "You send your kids to public schools and college, where they are taught from their earliest years that America and capitalism are the sources of evil in the world."
I can personally attest to that. Our kids went through the public school system in California. When our oldest graduated from high school around 2004, she announced "I hate business." I was absolutely shocked and wondered where the hell that came from. I woke up to the hate-America and hate-capitalism attitude in our public school system way too late. There wasn't as much writing and exposure about how evil public schools were back then.
The funny thing is we raised her with an excellent work ethic and she had jobs from about age 11 or 12 - babysitting, working at the local lake renting boats, sales clerk at several stores in town, flower arranging. Later on, she would pick up any job to make money until she got her career launched. She is a hard worker and willing to do anything legal to make a buck - the ultimate capitalist. For the longest time after graduating from college, her big ambition was (like so many kids) to work for the government. My wife and I finally prevailed on her that she would be miserable doing that and she gave that up.
<>We still have the vote and can win elections, despite the disadvantage. But its not a guarantee.<>
This is true, and admission the US is more a majoritarian democracy than a constitutional republic.
Our freedoms are not supposed to depend on elections.
