'No one was gassed': Kayleigh McEnany spars with Jim Acosta over 'misreporting' White House clash with protesters
Wash Examiner ^ | June 3 2020 | Spencer Neale

White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany pushed back against accusations that tear gas and rubber bullets were used to disperse large crowds outside the White House over the past several days.

During Wednesday's White House press briefing, McEnany exchanged terse words with CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta, saying there had been a lot of "misreporting" about tense standoffs with police in front of the White House.

"No tear gas was used, and no rubber bullets were used," McEnany said before Acosta interjected that "chemical agents were used" against protesters. "Again, no tear gas was used, no rubber bullets were used," she responded.

Are there ever going to be any repercussions for the lying media?

If Acosta couldn’t mis-report, he wouldn’t have a career.

Reminds me of the old CNN “Operation Tailwind” hoax faking that we used nerve gas in Vietnam. Total hoax by CNN.

Yes, if the CNN clowns started telling the truth, they would be out of business....

The media has reached a new low rooting on a race war with their false narratives.

Not in the way we would like to see. That said, Rush discussed this today on his program. The Lying media is slowly paying a price.
Their corporate income is dwindling to the point they are for the first time to the point where their parent companies are laying their staff off by the thousands.
And, those laid off will have very few options for re-employment due to their lack of meaningful skills. This is a win.
More and more Americans are tuning them out. Viewership is dwindling and, as a result, advertising dollars are shrinking. If we don’t watch them, they LOSE.

Just another journaliar, dime a dozen of them these days. Probably well-rehearsed in creative writing. He’d probably make a lot fatter paycheck churning out sci-fi stories.

"Acosta gasses us everyday with his BS."

If Acoata is facing North and speaking it would be most wise not to be South of Acosta unless one has a lit match in his hand. Farts are mostly hydrogen sulfide and methane and does burn quite well.

As an aside, hydrogen sulfide is a most toxic gas. It binds to the hemoglobin exactly the same as hydrogen cyanide and kills most effectively. Hydrogen Cyanide is the gas used in the gas chamber.

Yawn, we’ve been using tear gas to break up riots for decades in this country.

I was watching the news when the original clearing took place and then 2 or 3 times when it was repeated with additional information. At first, people were standing around talking. Then suddenly people were definitely fleeing from “white” fog, and choking and crying and covering their eyes. Later a reporter (don’t know the name) said he was gassed and then showed us a canister he had picked up at the time marked OC. That means Oleoresin Capsicum, or pepper spray which is very painful on a par with “tear gas” The link below is from the US Dept. of Justice and says that OC has stronger effects on people than other tear gases because it usually causes eyes to swell shut and compromises breathing which is dangerous for asthmatics and people with other health conditions. If you think causing temporary blindness to people while simultaneously chasing them with a row of horses is good for public safety???

Freedom of the press does not require the WHG to allow the press on grounds.

There should be a WH channel directly to the people. Then networks can report or give opinions as they choose. But this daily feeding of the dogs is just so much BS.

They could let one or two reporters in a week and let them walk the halls for two hours.

A guy like acosta would be ridiculed and not allowed into the wh.

More internet reporters and less TV and print media

More sheryl atkinson and the woman who went from fox to CBS

Acosta is a below par journalist. Look who he works for. CNN has paid millions out for their subpar reports.

I note Acosta cites anecdotal evidence for claims of tear gas, “pummeling”, and the like. There is definitely no chance his sources are lying and Acosta is performing as a conduit for those lies. No chance whatsoever
